Sophie - um entrevista única como ela / Sophie - an amazing interview as she!

Bom dia! Boa semana!
Good morning! Have a nice week! A week that promises to be full of great events in the royal world.
But today I bring you, like I did on Friday, another face who rarely speakabout, but  I have chosen as one of the royal year figures in 2013.

Recently the Countess of Wessex gave an exclusive interview to the royal editor Camilla Tominey. a piece now published on Sunday Express.
The piece is worth be read in full here, and the blog HRH The Countess of Wessex made a wonderful summary that can be read here.

Sophie, in a very natural way, answered some questions about her charity work, her relationship with the Queen, future plans, style and even some more personal curiosities, such as physical exercise.

Quero partilhar convosco algumas citações que me tocaram particularmente.
I want to share with you some quotes that touched me particularly.
Camilla have asked Sophie if fashion was important to her. Sophie said, "I know what I like and I know what I do not like, but never had a stylist". In her work with the institutions she supports Sophie says that does not think about fashion. "It's still not about me, it's about my chairties but I recognize that I'm on display." Someone has told Sophie that such exposure would have to be recognized as a part of what she does: "When you enter a room, people will talk about what you're doing, but they're also going to want to know what you're wearing".

Sophie said that she tried to go against it, but quickly realized it was true and gave way before this interest from people.

As horas do dia chegam?
Her role as a representative of the royal family, involved in more than 70 patronages, wife, mother of two children and still housewife takes a huge amount of time. The day's hours are enough?

"I have try to fit it all around, but it's what working mothers do!"

(....) É muito compensador", confidencia a Condessa.
And her work next her charities is quite intense, according to Camilla Tominey. She tells us: "When Sophie commits to a charity, she doesn't do it by halves." She is drawn by the most difficult cases and the less visible ones: "A lot of them do find themselfs under the radar. They're hard to raise money for. But they are good fun as well (....) It is hugely rewarding" , confides the Countess.

In her early days as member of the world's most famous royal family, Sophie confessed that it took time to adapt and find her own way . "Initially, when I first started to do full-time engagements, I sort had to start paddling my own canoe a bit and carving out my out style. You can't expect people to think you're going to suddenly know what you're doing. It took time."

After so many official engagements and sponsored many causes, Sophie confesses that obviously people acquire some knowledge. It can be said that she is an expert in any subject?

"I don't claim t be an expert in any one of the fields I am involved in. I listen and learn. Other people are the experts -but if I get one expert talking to another who can create a solution, then that's great."

Ouvir e aprender.
Listen and learn. A lesson that Sophie seems to have learned from her mother-in law, the Queen, who she considers a "great listener" with a "great desire to learn all the time, which is amazing for someone with 89 years with all she's seen and done in her life".

According to Camilla, despite being one of the most senior members of the royal family , and one of the closest confidants of the Queen,  Sophie, Countess of Wessex proved in this interview to be the most approachable Windsor the journalist ever meet.

Nada surpreendida. De todo!
Not surprised. At all!
