A Princesa da Coroa Mary tem levado a cabo vários compromissos nas últimas semanas (para estarem a par daqueles que não foram mencionados aqui no T&T, por favor visitem o nosso blog amigo Style of Mary para ficarem a par de tudo).

Ontem a esposa de Frederik da Dinamarca foi convidada para participar numa reunião da Women Deliver, sobre um tema que vai muito ao encontro do trabalho que Mary tem vindo a desenvolver ao longo dos anos.
Yesterday the wife of Frederik of Denmark was invited to attend a Women Deliver meeting about a topic that is very close to the work that Mary has been developing over the years.



Women Deliver é uma organização que junta várias vozes ao redor do mundo para chamar a atenção para a necessidade de tomar acção para a melhoria da saúde e bem-estar das mulheres.
Women Deliver is an organization that brings together many voices around the world to draw attention to the need to take action to improve women's health and well-being.

A Women Deliver conduz iniciativas para melhorar em todo o mundo os direitos e saúde materna, sexual e reprodutiva de jovens raparigas e mulheres em todo o mundo. A organização acredita que ao investirmos no bem-estar e segurança de jovens raparigas e mulheres, todos ganhamos.
The Women Deliver leads initiatives worldwide to improve maternal, sexual and reproductive health and rights of young girls and women all over the world. The organization believes that investing in the well-being and safety of young girls and women, everybody wins.

Now is the time for global action - concrete investments have to be made for girls & women in order to see success in the #SDGs.

A próxima conferência da Organização será em Maio do próximo ano em Copenhaga e Mary foi convidada para ser Patrona do evento. Na reunião de ontem a Princesa deu o pontapé de saída para a mobilização e compromisso da população dinamarquesa para com esta causa.
The next conference of the organization will take place in May next year in Copenhagen and Mary was invited to be Patron of the event. At yesterday's meeting the Crown Princess helped to kick of for the mobilization and commitment of the Danish population for this cause.

Simbolicamente a Princesa hasteou uma bandeira símbolo da Igualdade de Género, considerada o Objectivo Global  #5 (Global Goal) da Agenda Universal.
Symbolically the Princess raised one flag symbol of Gender equality, considered the Global Goal #5 of the Universal Agenda.

Esta bandeira é apenas uma de 17 bandeiras, símbolos dos Global Goals. As 16 bandeiras restantes serão hasteadas um pouco por todo o mundo para chamar a atenção tendo em vista a próxima Assembleia Geral das Nações Unidas em Setembro.
This flag is just one of 17 flags, each flag for a Global Goals. The remaining 16 flags will be flown all over the world to draw attention for the next General Assembly of the United Nations later in September.



Estes 17 objectivos fazem parte de uma série de metas bastante ambiciosas, entre as quais o fim da pobreza, combate à desigualdade e a consciencialização das alterações climáticas até 2030. Para saberem mais sobre os Global Goals, por favor leiam aqui.

Mary é um rosto conhecido no combate aos direitos das mulheres e das jovens raparigas. Pelo trabalho humanitário desenvolvido nesta área, a futura Rainha da Dinamarca ganhou o ano passado o Prémio Bambi. No seu discurso de agradecimento, as suas palavras e dados causaram silêncio na sala e deixaram-nos a pensar que estamos longe de viver num mundo ideal.
Mary is a familiar face in fighting for the rights of women and young girls. For her humanitarian work in this area, the future Queen of Denmark won last year's the Bambi Award. In her acceptance speech, her words and data caused silence in the room and left us to think that we are far from living in an ideal world.
