Ora o que aconteceu nos últimos dias no mundo da realeza? Vamos fazer uns breves apontamentos.

Now lets take a look on what happened in recent days in the world of royalty? Let's make some brief notes.

Dinamarca /Denmark

Frederik e Mary voltaram a fazê-lo. Eu adoro estes dois, mas incomoda-me bastante as frequentes sessões fotográficas que fazem para revistas. Já perdi a conta a quantas foram desde que se casaram em 2004. Chamem-me antiquada, mas não gosto nada de ver membros da realeza como se fossem celebridades em capas de revista. De qualquer forma, as fotos ficaram muito lindas, e a cumplicidade entre os dois foi evidente tanto nas fotos como na entrevista como relata a jornalista e que pode ser lida aqui. Acredito que o casamento destes dois já teve dias muito negros, mas parece que Fred e Maz souberam dar a volta à situação, e como diz o titulo "O conto de fadas continua".

Frederik and Mary did it agian. I love these two, but it bothers me (actually a lot) these photo shoots for magazines that they do. I've lost count how many they did since they got married in 2004. Call me old fashioned, but I do not like to see royals as if they were celebrities on magazine covers. Anyway, the photos were very beautiful, and the complicity between the couple was quite evident both in the pictures as in the interview as the journalist said on her report which can be read here. I believe that the marriage of these two already had very black days, but it seems that Fred and Maz worked it out, and as the title says "the fairy tale continues."

Espanha / Spain

Neste fim-de-semana foi dia da Festa Nacional em Espanha e da sua habitual Parada Militar. Este ano, foi a primeira vez que o Príncipe Felipe presidiu às celebrações sozinho na companhia da esposa Letizia, Princesa das Astúrias. O Rei Juan Carlos encontra-se a recuperar de mais uma cirurgia à anca, pelo que coube aos Príncipes da Coroa mais uma representação ao mais alto nível. Seguiu-se uma recepção no Palácio Real, à qual também compareceram a Rainha Sofia e a Infanta Elena. Mais uma vez digo: é tempo de Felipe e Letizia assumirem oficialmente o que já têm feito e bem, nos últimos anos. A saúde do rei está cada vez mais debilitada (já para não falar da sua imagem) e é altura da geração seguinte tomar as rédeas do desafio que será restabelecer a confiança e o respeito do povo espanhol pela instituição monárquica.

In this weekend it was the National Day in Spain and its usual Military Parade. This year was the first time that Prince Felipe presided over the celebrations alone with his wife Letizia, Princess of Asturias. King Juan Carlos is recovering from another hip surgery, so it fell on the Crown Princes one more representation at the highest level. This was followed by a reception at the Royal Palace, which also attended Queen Sofia and Infanta Elena. Again I say it is time to Felipe and Letizia officially take what they already have done (and well done, actually) in the last couple of years. The king's health is increasingly weakened (not to mention his image) and it is time for the next generation to take the reins of the challenge that is to restore the confidence and respect of the people by the Spanish monarchical institution.

Letizia escolheu, como disse um membro da nossa comunidade no facebook, um modelo do outro Felipe da sua vida. Felipe Varela foi mais uma vez o criador de eleição da princesa, com este vestido em renda bordeux que a princesa completou na parada militar com um blazer em tom rosa e sapatos a condizer. Destaque para a maquilhagem da princesa em tons suaves com um toque dramático nas sombras dos olhos que a deixou deslumbrante.

Letizia chose, as one member of our community on facebook said, a model of the other Felipe of her life. Felipe Varela was again the election designer of the princess with this lace bordeux dress,  the princess matched on the parade with a blazer in pink shade and matching shoes. Highlight for the Princess makeup  in soft tones with a dramatic touch in the eye shadows, which made her dazzling!

Holanda (e Suécia) / The Netherlands (and Sweden)

O Rei Willem-Alexander e a Rainha Máxima continuam com as suas visitas introdutórias pela Europa. Hoje foi a vez da Suécia. Amigos e aliados, é sempre bom ver estes dois países juntos. Os novos reis da Holanda foram recebidos pelo rei Carl Gustaf XVI e pela Rainha Sílvia no Palácio Real num encontro em que também estiveram presentes os Príncipes da Coroa Victoria e Daniel. Lembre-se que Vitoria é madrinha da Princesa de Orange, filha mais velha de W-A e Maxima, e que a adorável Estelle, filha de Victoria e Daniel é afilhada de Willem-Alexander. Um encontro de família portanto.

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima continue with their introductory visits to Europe. Today was the turn of Sweden. Friends and allies, it is always nice to see these two countries together. The new kings of Netherlands were received by King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia at the Royal Palace in a meeting that was also attended by the Crown Couple, Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel. Remember that Victoria is godmother of the Princess of Orange, eldest daughter of WA and Maxima, and the lovely Estelle, daughter of Victoria and Daniel is goddaughter of Willem-Alexander. A family gathering after all.

Maxi elegeu duas peças Natan para a ocasião. Uma saia rodada em tom caramelo, que completou com uma blusa muito semelhante á que usou no dia da Entronização, em tons rosa suave. Pessoalmente acho que é um conjunto muito chamativo. As duas peças são bonitas, mas talvez não juntas.

Maxi wore a two pieces outfit by Natan for the occasion. A full skirt in caramel tone, which completed with a soft pink blouse very similar to those she wore on the Enthronement day. Personally i think it´s a quite busy outfit. Both pieces are nice, but not together, i think.

Victoria elegeu um elegante e simples vestido azul da marca Tiger of Sweden. Vocês estão comigo quando digo que adoraria ver a nossa Vicky com um penteado diferente? Felizmente estamos quase na Cerimónia dos Prémios Nobel...

Victoria chose an elegant and simple blue dress, from the label Tiger of Sweden. Are you with me when I say I would love to see our Vicky with a different hairstyle? Luckily we are almost at the Nobel Prize Ceremony ...

Reino Unido/ United Kingdom

Á medida que o baptizado do Príncipe G. de Cambridge se aproxima (marcado para o próximo da 23 na Capela do Palácio de St. James), começam a surgir algumas noticias que estão a gerar alguma controvérsia. De um lado temos o grupo de pessoas que adora os Cambridges (adoração aqui implica gostar de tudo o que este casal faz ou não faz, veste ou não veste, diz ou não diz). Do outro lado temos aqueles que nunca gostaram de Catherine (e muito menos da sua família). Até aqui tudo bem, sempre houve e vai haver pessoas maníacas, obcecadas  sem opinião própria e que seguem modas e tendências das massas. Também sempre vão existir pessoas que julgam, e têm um estranho sentimento de ódio por pessoas que nunca lhes fizeram mal e que, em muitos casos, não as conhecem pessoalmente (?). É o mundo em que vivemos, e este NÃO É,  sem dúvida o espaço para disputar amores e ódios acerca de pessoas que não conhecemos. Mas o que parece que está a acontecer agora é o surgir de um novo grupo (no qual eu me insiro), que começa a ficar cansado com tantos ares de normalidade adoptados pelos Cambridges. E passo a explicar: primeiro, aquelas fotografias oficiais do rebento com fraca qualidade e em que mal se vê a criança. Agora a cerimónia de baptizado do futuro Rei do Reino Unido será discreta e restrita, o que significa que apenas familiares mais chegados e amigos (= padrinhos) serão convidados. Apesar de ainda não ter sido divulgada a lista de convidados, especula-se que apenas os Middleton (pai, mãe e irmãos da duquesa) estarão presentes, juntamente com a Rainha, o Duque de Edimburgo  Príncipe de Gales, Duquesa da Cornualha e Príncipe Harry. De fora parecem ter ficado todos os tios de William, alguns dos quais ausentes em visitas oficiais, e primos. Ainda não foram divulgados os padrinhos do pequeno príncipe. Mas apontam-se como prováveis amigos do casal, no que será mais uma quebra de tradição, ao não serem escolhidos membros da família real.

As the christening of Prince G. of Cambridge approaches (scheduled for next 23rd in the Chapel of St. James's Palace ), it begins to emerge some news that are generating some controversy . On one side we have the group of people who love the Cambridges (Love here implies worship everythin that this couple does or doesn't, wears, or doesn't wear, says or doesn´t say ). On the other side we have those who never liked Catherine (much less her family ). So far so good , because there will always be maniac and obsessed, people, who don't have an own opinion and who follow fashions and trends of the mostle of the people who shares their tastes. Also there will always be people who think and have a strange feeling of hatred for people who have never hurt or harm them and, in many cases, they don´t even know personally ( ? ) . It's the world we live in, and this IS NOT undoubtedly the space to compete loves and hates about people we do not know . But what seems to be happening now is the emergence of a new group ( in which I'm in ) , that starts to get tired with so many normality actions adopted by the Cambridges. And let me explain: First , those official photos of the baby, with poor quality and where you can hardly see the child . Now the christening ceremony of the future King of the United Kingdom will be discreet and restricted , which means that only close family members and close friends ( =godparents ) will be invited . Although it has not yet been disclosed the guest list , it is speculated that only the Middleton's ( father, mother and the Duchess's siblings ) will be present, along with the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the  Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry. William's uncles won´t attend , some of which are absent in official visits, as well as their royal cousins. The names of the little prince godparents aren't known yet, but it was pointed out as probable some of the couple's closest friends, in what will be another break with tradition by not being chosen members of the royal family .

Ora aqui vai a minha opinião que vale o que vale: / Here is my opinion and worths what what do you want to worth:

1. A família real britânica nunca foi a minha favorita e William e Catherine não são por consequência o meu casal real favorito. No entanto adoro o peso e valores pelos quais esta monarquia se rege e o que simboliza: Tradição, Continuidade, Dever, Serviço. De momento não acho que nem William nem Catherine sigam estes valores. Sophie, Condessa de Wessex é o meu membro favorito desta família e acho o seu trabalho soberbo!

1. The British royal family has never been my favorite, and William and Catherine are not consequently my favorite royal couple. However I love the importance and value for which this monarchy rules and what it symbolizes: Tradition, Continuity, Duty, Service. At the moment I do not think that neither William nor Catherine follow these values​​. Sophie, Countess of Wessex is my favorite member of this family and I think she does a superb work!

2. Sou plenamente a favor de uma cerimónia discreta, pois não esqueçamos que o pequeno príncipe de Cambridge é apenas o número 3 na linha de sucessão ao trono. Quanto aos convidados, acredito que estarão na cerimónia aquelas pessoas que são importantes para William e Catherine. Mas não esqueçamos que esta é apenas a primeira grande cerimónia do Príncipe George Alexander Louis de Cambridge, Príncipe do Reino Unido e futuro Rei, percebem a diferença? A lista foi feita ao gosto de William e Kate, simples cidadãos e pais,  e não à  imagem dos Duques de Cambridge e para o Futuro Rei. Estou a fazer-me entender?

2. I am fully in favor of a discreet ceremony, because we can't  forget that the little prince of Cambridge is only number 3 in the line of succession to the throne. As for guests, I believe that at the ceremony will be those people who are important to William and Catherine. But we shouldn´t forget neither that this is the first major ceremony of HRH Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, Prince of the United Kingdom and Future King, can you see the difference? The list and the kind of event was made ​​to please William and Kate, ordinary citizens and parents,  and not made by the image of the Dukes of Cambridge, and for a future King. I'm making myself clear?

3. A razão pela qual as monarquias ainda resistem nos dias de hoje em muitos países é pela CONTINUIDADE que simbolizam. Nunca duvidei que uma monarquia une mais um povo do que uma república, mas também se exige naturalmente mais de uma monarquia do que de uma república, principalmente nos dias de hoje em que muitos príncipes e princesas levam vidas de luxo e ostentação às custas do contribuinte. A maioria das monarquias tem isso em conta e têm cortado nas despesas, usado todo o seu potencial em prole do país, e tentando ser motivo de orgulho e respeito nacional. Com tudo isto, eu quero dizer que são seres humanos sim. Têm defeitos e qualidades, sim. Têm direito a vida pessoal, sim. Mas NÃO SÃO pessoas normais. Representam anos e anos de história, costumes e tradições que apesar de terem que ser adaptados aos tempos modernos, é o que os distingue do resto dos cidadãos. Se querem ser "normais", levar vidas em que a família e gostos pessoais venham SEMPRE em primeiro lugar, há uma solução para isso e chama-se abdicação! Talvez eu esteja a exagerar, e concordo que as pessoas, príncipes ou não, tenham voz activa em relação à maneira como vivem. Mas nem tudo depende das suas vontades. Há que respeitar acima de tudo, a Instituição que representam e que lhes possibilita o estilo de vida que levam. O filho dos duques de Cambridge não é apenas o filho deles. Não existe outra maneira de ver as coisas. Não há conceito relativo aqui. Não é uma maneira fria ou insensível de analisar a situação. Com privilégios vêm obrigações muito especificas. Passarão estas obrigações por escolher membros da realeza para padrinhos e um grande evento para assinalar um baptizado de um príncipe? De certo que não, mas passa definitivamente pela maneira como o respeito pela tradição é levado em conta. Ou neste caso, como não é.

E os dois grupos que falei de início têm que começar e pensar friamente nas coisas. Por um lado não cegar ao ponto de não vermos como a própria opinião dos ingleses acerca deste casal tem vindo a mudar e por outro não especular e resumir-nos aos factos. Não culpar Catherine e a sua família de estar aos poucos a controlar a monarquia (isso não vai acontecer), e não deixar também de apontar o dedo a William que agora vai levar um ano até decidir que rumo dar à sua vida, no que diz respeito à representação da casa real. Ele tem 31 anos, por amor de Deus.

3. The reason why monarchies still resist nowadays in many countries is that it symbolizes CONTINUITY . I never doubted that a monarchy unites a people more than a republic , but, naturally,  the people demands more of a monarchy than of a republic , especially these days when many princes and princesses live lives of luxury and ostentation at taxpayer expense. Most monarchies have this into account and had cut the costs, used their full potential on the service of the country , and trying to be a source of pride and national respect . With all this ,  they are human beings yes. They have defects and qualities, yes . They are entitled to personal life , yes . But they ARE NOT normal people . They represent years and years of history, customs and traditions that despite having to be adapted to modern times, is what distinguishes them from the rest of the citizens . If you want to be " normal " lead lives in which the family and personall desires ALWAYS come first, there is a solution for this and is called abdication ! Maybe I 'm exaggerating , and I agree that people , princes or not , must have an active voice regarding the way they live. But not all depends on their desires. They must respect above all, the institution they represent and that allows them the lifestyle they lead. Prince George of Cambridge is not just their son. There is another way of seeing things. No relative concept here. Not a cold or callous way of analyse the situation. With privileges come very specific obligations . These obligations demand to choose members of royalty for godparents or a great event to mark a christening of a prince ? Of course not. But definitely shifts the way the respect for tradition is taken into account. Or in this case, as it is not .

And the two groups that I first spoke about, they must start to think first. First not blind themselfs to the point of not seeing how english people's opinion about this couple has been changing and, for another hand do not speculate and summarized to the facts . Do not blame Catherine and her family to be gradually control the monarchy (it  is not nor will not happen ), but please, point the finger also at William who now will take a year to decide what direction to take his life , regarding the representation of the royal house. He is 31 for God's sake.
